Idöborg (pronounced in english ee-duh-borrry) is an island in the Stockholm archipelago, about an hour from Stockholm city.
We will have all accommodation on the island from Friday 13th August to Sunday 15th August and we would absolutely love for you to join for the weekend (greedy of us!).
For those staying with us or able to get to the island on the Friday night, we will start the weekend with some welcome drinks on the terrace at Vita Villan (the White House). There will be a big welcome meal and drinks at the beach bar from 8pm, and we’ve booked out the sauna for the evening with ice buckets of classic scandi somersby cider. Saturday morning there will be brunch at the beach bar, activities for those who fancy it, and plenty of time to swim in the sea before the afternoon ceremony. More info to come on the rest of the big day... There will be a farewell brunch on the Sunday - you’re able to stay longer on the Island if you wish to, but we’ll need to check out of the rooms.
We’ll let you know more about specific timings and dress code in the formal invite closer to the time!
We’d love for you all to stay with us on the island
We will have exclusive access to all accommodation options - from large houses, cosy cottages, glamping pods to luxury sailboats - which means we will have all of the terraces and social areas to enjoy.
If you'd like to stay here with us (and we hope you do!) the accommodation cost is £200 per person for both nights, which can be paid in one or in two installments of £100, by 2nd May 2027. Please let us know if you’d like to join us on Idöborg when you RSVP and if you have any particular preferences (e.g., super keen to stay in a glamping pod, too seasick to stay on a sailboat, or definitely want to spoon Bella), please let us know and we will do our best!
Rooms will be available from 4pm on the Friday, until 10am on the Sunday. But you can arrive and leave the island earlier!
If you’d rather stay elsewhere, we would recommend staying near Stavsnäs as this will be the best spot to get a boat-taxi to Idöborg for the wedding events you plan to attend. We’re happy to help advise on the best hotels!

Getting to Idöborg
If we’re travelling by air… we may as well travel by air, road and sea. Sorry.
We promise it will be worth it!!!
It is best to book flights to Stockholm Arlanda Airport. There are several flight options but we recommend either Norwegian air from Gatwick, SAS or BA from Heathrow.
From the airport there is the Arlanda express into Stockholm which gets you to the city centre in less 18 minutes. UPDATE we will now be arranging transport from the city centre to the Island, on the Friday afternoon and then returning Sunday lunchtime. We recommend landing before Friday 3pm and not booking flights back before 5pm Sunday if possible!! If this doesn’t work, pls text one of us and we’ll do our best to help x
If you want to make your own way to the island (not recommended unless you’re local…), you can get an Uber to Stavsnäs, then either prebook here a taxi-boat or check the timetable for the Vaxholmsbolagets ferry (line 17) which goes a few times a day.
